The Durham Solidarity Center is shared office, resource, and work space. Their website says that they seek to support grassroots social justice efforts in the Triangle. It is located within the Hayti Heritage Center in Durham. The group claims it is only supported by individual donations. What is significant about this group are the advisory board members are connected with a number of other Blueprint NC and left-wing groups in general in NC.
Here is a list of four of the seven board members and their associations with other liberal groups.
- Ben Carroll (Action for Community in Raleigh)
- Elena Everett (Ignite NC, Action for Community in Raleigh, Blueprint NC, YOI, SVA)
- Jillian Johnson (YOI, SVA)
- Connie Leeper (NC Warn, Southeast Regional Economic Justice Network)
The Durham Solidarity Center provides a perfect meeting and work space for groups similar to the ones listed above.
