NC Council of Churches
GroupThe North Carolina Council of Churches is a political activist group that claims to be a church. According to Guidestar, a nonprofit organization that “collects, organizes, and presents” nonprofit information on a website, the Council of Churches “is not required to file an annual return with the IRS because it is a church.”
The Council supports same-sex marriage, is neutral on abortion and works as community organizers and lobbyists on economic justice.
They are part of the Blueprint NC network. Blueprint NC is the organizing hub of the left, best known for the 2013 strategy memo that directs its members to eviscerate the state’s leadership.
