Progress NC
GroupProgress NC is a state partner with the national radical progressive community organizing political group ProgressNow. According to Wikipedia, observers in Colorado call ProgressNow the crown jewel of the progressive investors’ effort to flip that state in 2010. The Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation is the national group’s largest one-time contributor. Progress NC is a member of the radical Blueprint NC network. Blueprint NC is the left-wing political group that gained infamy in 2013 with a strategy memo that called for activists to “eviscerate, mitigate, litigate, cogitate and agitate” the state’s leadership.
WRAL reported in a 2012 article on its website that Progress NC has served as a mouthpiece for N.C. Citizens for Progress, a 527 group that has aired commercials targeting now-Gov. Pat McCrory.
